Approriately titled, this image depicts a scene of magic, enchantment and innocence. The natural tones and hues of honeys and nutmeg add warmth and create a union between nature, humanity and otherwordliness. This is pure magic.
For vision, I have given 5 - this is a wonderfully imaginative depiction of the title. It reaches out and steals your heart and mind, and sends you back to your childhood and a time where you believed in fairies.
For originality, I have awarded a strong 5 as this is an utterly transporting image and makes the viewer smile and forget about their cares with its magic and purity... it seduces and lifts the viewer to a happy place... just like a fairytale. The little pixie ears show the photographers care and attention to detail, and her passion and invention!
For technique I have given 5. The composition and attention to detail are spot on. The way she has self-styled the scene and with timer and tripod managed to capture the feeling and mood desired without compromising photographic quality. This demands skill and patience in the world of self-portraiture.
For impact, I have awarded 5. For reasons mentioned earlier, it is refreshing to see such innocence... such purity of heart and mind... and to be transported to my childhood and the land of make believe is just too beautiful for words!
