Model: Little Star

natural light

after posting this picture i got a lot of angry comments and notes, to avoid further confusion i want to make some explanation

1) A lot of people thought that my Little Star was harmed. NO HARM WAS DONE. Little Star belongs to [link] Betta is labyrinth fish, that means that this specie has lung-like labyrinth organ, which enables it to breathe air. So bettas need free access to the air (that's why the bulb is not full) but they need no extra aeration of water. Also bettas can't be harmed by small volume of water. They are transported and sold in the containers that have the same size as this bulb. And believe me, transportation is always much more longer than this photosession was.

2) Some people thought that others can think (yes, exactly in such wording) that i advice everybody to keep bettas in
tiny containers. This conclusion seems strange to me, anyway...
One of the most common rules of aquaria says: 1 sm of body length = 1 liter of water volume. This is minimal requirement. Some fish needs more, some less but the average ratio is 1/1. Thus, to ensure a comfortable life for 5 sm fish you need minimum 5 liters of water. Surely, you should take into account the possible growth of your fish. By extra aeration, filters and circulation you can slightly reduce the required volume of water.
I've already said but i want to repeat: Little Star do not live in this ball, it lives in 50 l aquarium, of course not alone ;).

Wow! I love it! The lighting is perfect, the background goes perfectly with the whole photo, and the colors are amazing. I'm curious about the ornament. Is it one of those that opens up and you can decorate inside or was it a special one for fish? The reflection at the top of the ornament also intrigued me. It looks a little like a hand. Was it a reflection of your hand while you were taking the photo? The light shining from behind is also a very nice touch. This photo really reminds me of Christmas. I think the only thing I have to say that you might want to try out is lowering the string connected to the ornament a little bit more so you can see some of it... Oh! I think i get where that reflection is now. It's the reflection from your hand that is holding the ornament! LOL :D Very nice! Keep up the good work!

I like the way you just focused on the fish, making the lights outside blurry bit shiny, I love the lighting, but the angle could've been a little far more right. (Viewer's perspective) I also like the way that you made the outside of the ornament a tad shinier than anything else in this photo (Pretty sure it's a photomanipulation, LOL) But the rest of the pictureis great. I like the fish's pose, too, and the way it maks parts of the ornament a colour of pale red. You could've zoomed in a tad closer, but the rest is amazing.
