Back from Moscow

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 23, 2009, 1:21 AM

As you know i was in Moscow since 13th of December. Since 14th until 21th there was Kukkiwon poomsae seminar there. I had an honor to visit it. And it was truly priceless experience. I'm really happy that Kukkiwon made it for us. Especially I want to thank master of the 8th Dan and triple poomsae world champion Jaen-Yoon Ahn who was our coach all this days. He has incredible patience and skill level - i can't even imagine how hard was to explain everything to us.
In the end of the seminar we had an exam on the 4th Dan but the results are unknown yet. I hope that everybody passed it (althought that would be a miracle :XD:).

The greatest surprise of the seminar for me was receiving this

:faint: I've never thought that i can ever get anything like this. Thank you.

And yet, it fails to change the fact that Tae-Kwon-Do is a martial sport. Not to mention that even the most complex of it's forms have huge, gaping holes in them, defensively speaking. If a person is inclined to a more proper martial style, I'd recommend Uechi-ryū, which is simple and extremely powerful, especially in the format of self-defense--gives you the power and control to stun, disable, or kill in instants. Mmmm... nukite<3

Nyehh, I still think it'd be better if you found a dojo of Uechi-ryū and gave that a try. That's a martial art with an extremely hardass set of masters... My old sensei put his hand through a professional-grade heavy punching bag just to make a point. xD

-:wow: I'm a big fan of your photography, but now knowing your a Taekwondo Practitioner just makes me fall in love :D, It must have been an awesome experience going to the Kukkiwon.

I'm a Taekwon-do ITF 2 Kup Red Belt and have also competed in the WTF Tournaments but I'm not that good at that system ;P.
But I would love to see you in that uniform! I hope you get some ideas...

P.S.

CONGRATULATIONS!
